I was unexpectedly surprised by this short story. While it was a short story, it gave more than enough detail to keep you immersed within it. There is romance, sex, and murder mystery....and very well written! This was not a teaser for a "series", as is popular with authors today, but a full story. The ending gave a hint of more to come, and I hope to read what comes next from this author!Product details

Alice may be giving us the first of, hopefully, many novels, but she is clearly a highly experienced and mature writer, well done!
The story wastes no time in pulling us in and getting the roller coaster going, with all the twists and surprises that make this kind of book entertaining and fun!
The paranormal angle was very nicely pulled in and took the whole experience to another level. Also, the lead character came alive and vividly portrayed her experience throughout the tale. Excellent!
A terrrific read! Suspenseful,very hot, imaginative, page turner, which brings to life the best of the beauty and the beast mythology. The writing is first rate-often in short novels the secondary characters are one-dimensional, wooden. Not here-they have great depth and breadth.
I eagerly await the next Alice X thriller

A very unique and interesting novel. This story does capture and keeps the reader's attention. The book has adventure, romance, mystery, and action. The plot is clever and different. Read this one for yourself. A great read.
From the first chapter of this quick read, I was hooked! I could see each character and scene in my mind as the author continued to develop them. The mix of romance, suspense, and supernatural was completely gripping and left me wanting more, can't wait for the next!!
This was a really good story. A paranormal romance/mystery with a happy ending. Not something I would normally read, but once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down until the end.

I found Rough Beast My Love to be an exciting romance thriller with just enough twists and turns to drive me to read it within one sitting! Couldn't wait to find out Elsa's fate/future with her apparent soul-mate. I'm not usually a paranormal fan however, a friend recommended this book. I'll be looking for the next one coming out from Alice X.
